Annual Spring celebration featuring handmade crafts, frontier
life demonstrations, parade, lots of "folk, mountain, and
bluegrass" music, dancing on the Courthouse Square, and
window decorating contest. A great fun family festival. Ozark
Folk Center opens for the season. Free admission to Crafts
Village during this weekend. Free shuttle from downtown
to the Folk Center.

Annual Bean Fest & Great Arkansas Championship Outhouse Races
Beans and cornbread, music, dancing on Courthouse Square, handmade
crafts and outrageous outhouse races. The “Bean Fest Cooking
Champion” and the “Arkansas Outhouse Races Champion” are
crowned. Watch the next generation of Outhouse Racers compete,
as the kids take their seats in pedal powered Outhouses. The
KWOZ talent show is held on the Square after the outhouse races.

Arkansas Folk Festival The oldest festival is the Annual
Arkansas Folk Festival, held in the glorious spring.
A highlight of this festival is an old fashioned "home-town" parade,
which brings out school bands, patriotic veterans groups, dudded-up

Beanfest and the Great
Championship Outhouse Race! If filling up on beans and cornbread
and then cheering wildly decorated outhouses as they careen down
the street sounds like fun, then the Beanfest
and the Great Championship Outhouse Race, the last Saturday

to be found during The Beanfest, in addition to a talent show,

devoted to this increasingly popular type of music in both mid-March
and mid-November. The many activities of the Mountain
View Bluegrass Festival are planned indoors, in case the
weather chooses not to cooperate! Both Bluegrass festivals are developing
a reputation for attracting top notch national music groups.
Smokin on the Square BBQ Throwdown Competition The Mountain View Chamber of Commerce will
hosts the annual BBQ Throwdown Competition in late June on
the Square in Mountain View. This is a State Championship Event

Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour The annual "Off
the Beaten Path Studio Tour" is held in mid-September.
Twenty five artists, representing a wide variety of 2-D art and
fine crafts, are participating in this free self-guided driving
tour. These talented artists will
open their private working studios to the public on this special
weekend from 9 am to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 am
to 4 pm on Sunday. All studios are located within 30 miles of the
Court Square in Mountain View, Arkansas, including Calico Rock,
Pineville, and Fox. Don’t
miss this unique opportunity to meet the artists in their own environment
and see where and how they work.

the fun filled Super Cruise will take place at Cash’s White River Music and Comedy Show in
Mountain View Arkansas.
This is an absolute necessity

Super Cruise will begin on Friday with registration from 3 till
