It’s time to get revved up for Mountains, Music & Motorcycles August 20 - 22, 2010

Plans are revving up for Mountains, Music & Motorcycles August 20-22 in Mountain View , with live music, bike show, biker games, poker run and more.

On Friday night there will be a classic rock concert featuring the Hippie Holler Band on the square beginning at 8 p.m. A “bug run”.will take place from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the entire courtsquare and some auxiliary streets will be devoted to motorcycle parking, biker and food vendors, and games. Registration for all events begins at 9 a.m. There will be live music from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Bike Show registration ends at 11 a.m., with people’s choice voting determining winners in Vintage, Modern, Rat, Trike and Custom and Chopper Divisions. Unique trophies will be presented to the winners following the biker games. Entry fee is $10 per bike.

Participants in the poker run must register prior to the ride out to collect the required trivia after 10 a.m.  The complete poker run route is given to participants at time of payment of registration of $15. The deadline to return is 2 p.m. Proceeds from the Poker Run will benefit the March of Dimes, Bikers for Babies.

Biker games will be held at 2 p.m. Riders will demonstrate their timing and control in various games that are challenging to play and amusing to watch. Games are Slow Ride, Granny Bloomers, Weenie Bite and Balloon Toss.

On Saturday night there will be a parking lot dance at The Wing Shack & Cheeseburger Grill from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m., with the Danny Dozier & the Lockhouse Orchestra.

A biker church service will be held Sunday morning at 9:30 at the city park amphitheater off Park Avenue .  Lunch will be served following the service.  Lunch is provided by Stone Rolled Away chapter of the Arkansas Baptist Bikers Association and First Baptist Church .
