Mountain View, Arkansas is an absolute paradise for Outdoor Adventure. We are surrounded by a National Forest with thousands of acres to explore on foot, by bike, on horseback, canoe, boat or kayak! And if that doesn’t suit you try one of our famous scenic drives and explore by car.

Regardless of how you enjoy the outdoors you will find something you love in Mountain View. You will have access to great fishing, hiking and backpacking, mountain biking, white water canoeing, wild cave tours and much, much more.

World class trout fishing is abundant on the White River in tailwaters of the massive Bull Shoals and Norfork dams. Rainbow, cutthroat and brown trout are all found in our waters and you easily find a fishing resort and boat launch facilities plus guided fishing trips on area rivers and lakes. Hikers will find scenic hiking trails throughout the Ozark National Forest that include both easy trails suited for families with small children and intense hikes which will test the strongest. The Sylamore District of the Ozark National Forest is just north of Mountain View and features spring-fed creeks, limestone bluffs, and grassy meadows. [Click here for more...]

The Syllamo Mountain Bike Trail presents challenging trails, while winding through the National Forest and connecting with Blanchard Springs campground. When completed this scenic trail will be over 50 miles in length and one of the top three mountain biking areas in the country.
