Beanfest & Great Championship Outhouse Races
Arkansas Folk Festival The oldest festival is the 46th Annual Arkansas
Folk Festival, held in the glorious spring, this year on April
18th - 20th, 2008. A highlight of this festival is an old fashioned "home-town" parade,
which brings out school bands, patriotic veterans groups, dudded-up

Beanfest and the Great
Championship Outhouse Race! If filling up on beans and cornbread
and then cheering wildly decorated outhouses as they careen down
the street sounds like fun, then the Beanfest
and the Great Championship Outhouse Race, the last Saturday
in October is for you. There is plenty of pickin' on the Square
to be found during The Beanfest, in addition to a talent show,
craft booths throughout town, and great beans & cornbread

Bluegrass Festival Bluegrass fans will find festivals
devoted to this increasingly popular type of music in both mid-March
and mid-November. The many activities of the Mountain
View Bluegrass Festival are planned indoors, in case the
weather chooses not to cooperate! Both Bluegrass festivals are developing
a reputation for attracting top notch national music groups.
An Old Time Gathering on the Square Mountain View celebrates our
Fourth of July with an Old Time Gathering on the Square. Each year
leading up to the Fourth Mountain View is home to parades, live
music, fun games for families including a children’s fishing

Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour Mountain View is chock full of some
of the most talented artisans in the country and the Off
the Beaten Path Studio TourSeptember
14, 15, & 16, 2007,
is a unique way to see their work. A free self guided tour takes
you to the studios of these artisans, where you can watch them
create their amazing works of art. It's a great way to see the
beautiful scenery of the countryside, too.

Super Cruise 2007 in Mountain View Arkansas The
fun begins on Friday, November 16, 2007 - bring
your poodle skirt and roll up those blue jeans. The show continues
on Saturday with a fun filled cruise and
ends on Sunday with church service and door prize drawing. All the

Caroling in the Caverns 2007 Blanchard
Springs Caverns is the setting for Caroling
in the Caverns, performed during the holidays, the first
three weekends in December. Talented area musicians perform
traditional carols in the cathedral like atmosphere. One visitor
said it best,
"I was underground, but never felt closer to heaven." ALL
PERFORMANCES ARE NOW SOLD-OUT.
